Personal Statement
First and foremost, God is first in my life. I am a dedicated athlete. I have determination, drive and passion in everything I put my mind to. Football and Track have been my main focus in High School and I have been very successful in these areas. My strengths are that I am fast, flexible, can build rapport quickly with my teammates and I encourage a competitive yet uplifting environment.
I strive to make academics a high priority and keep a close watch on my grades. I am an A/B Honor Roll Student and in Texas Scholars. Currently in athletics, I have achieved JV/Varsity Football Captain, received the 2020 All District 1-3A Football Utility Player Recognition Award (Jan 2021) and reached the playoffs with the football team. I am also in Men’s Track and Field as a sprinter and just placed 4th in the 200m and 9th in the 100m dash at Regionals in Abilene, Texas April 23rd, 2021.
In 2018, with approval from administration, I started a bible study at my school, I am involved in the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and attend the camps every year. I attend youth camps with my church every summer as well. I enjoy volunteering my time to help in my community and school. I live to be a Godly example and have honesty and integrity in all I do.
Since the age of 3, I have had a dream that has become a goal to serve and become a firefighter. I look forward to serving my community and I have a deep passion to make a difference in this world.
As a Student Athlete- I am an Honest, Hardworking, Compassionate, Team Player who loves to compete and I would love an opportunity to do so at the college level and hopefully beyond.
