I compete competitively in triathlons and cross country. I am on an elite triathlon team PlayTri, a national triathlon club. In addition, I also race cross country individually with my main triathlon coach, as my high school does not offer it. Running has always been my favorite and my best sport of the three.
My goals for college are to get a scholarship for cross country and academics. I hope to find a triathlon team or club within the college I’ll be attending. I love triathlons, but unfortunately they aren’t yet a collegiate sport for men.
I would be a great candidate for your team, because I am a hard-working, determined athlete. I always do my best to put in 110% effort for practices and races, and stay punctual. I don't miss practice unless I get sick or seriously injured.
My PlayTri team is not only about sports, but also about building character. Our coaches value that we do not only grow as athletes, but as individuals. We are required to support each other, show good sportsmanship, and be responsible for our gear, practices, and competitions.
Finally, I am very dedicated to academics as well as athletics. I always put forth my best effort in school, and I am an intelligent individual, as my grades and results have shown. I am really interested in engineering and computer software, and hope to find a major in these fields. I believe that my athleticism and intellect would be a great addition to your team
