Track and Field is a sport in which I believe I was born to compete. With only 3 and a half years of competitive running under my belt, I know I have work to do, but that does not stop me from giving 120% to every race no matter the competition that surrounds me. I am 5'11 165 with a decent build but by no means am I as muscularly developed as I know I could be. With a coach helping me, I am now dedicated to a workout program to develop force and power through my legs, which I know can shave down an 11.4 by plenty.
I want to enter a well-funded athletic program that can help me further my goals of competition in track professionally. I know there is work that needs to be done but an investment in me is an investment that can be made. I maintain a 3.8+ GPA at all times and stay on top of all things given to me, whether they be athletic or school-related.
I am a dedicated athlete willing to accept all advice. Through insight from experienced coaches and runners, I know that I can further not only myself but my teammates as well. As an anchor for a regional qualifying relay, I understand the cost of losing everything due to a tiny mistake and will work day in and out to prevent my teammates and me from falling victim to one. I hope that under a great coach I can perform at the collegiate level, and demonstrate that even if others don't believe in you in the beginning, you will make it farther than they imagined.
