My goals for my college athletic career are to prove myself on an elite xc/track team, this includes breaking 15:30 in the 5k, and running a sub 4:10 in the mile for some goals of mine. I’m a good candidate because even when my coach doesn’t have me doing specific workouts, or no one else is pressuring me to run, I still make sure to get a workout in everyday so that I can stay fit and ready to compete. Something that's made me different from other people I’ve known in the sport is my determination to improve, I’ve cut my 5k time from 25:25 in my sophomore year, down to 15:53 in my senior year, and what it ultimately comes down to is my dedication and commitment to the sport.
