Derek Travis '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Derek Travis and I am a student at Mills E. Godwin High School. I have been running track since the 8th grade.  I played other sports prior to high school but found that track was the sport for me. I really enjoy running at competitive meets and reaching my goals over time. I have put in loads of effort and dedication into my training on and off season to be prepared for what’s next. I believe in showing good sportsmanship to my fellow teammates and competitors as part of my professional character. Learning is the desire which motivates and drives me to be a better athlete. My dream is to run in college and bring my talents to be a part of a team. Everyday I wake up ready to improve and learn what I can do to be better.
