Ever since I started running in middle school I have wanted to continue as far as I can. Running is my passion, its all I ever think about and being able to continue and meet like minded individuals would make me ecstatic. As a runner I leave everything on the course, never take a day off and grit my teeth when things get hard, as a teammate I cheer my peers and help push them to be their best while they do the same. People will talk about how natural ability makes the athlete however while natural ability may help, hard work will always beat out the naturally gifted. My belief is that if there is ever anyone in need that using your time and effort will never be unappreciated and may even save a life and just the thought of being able to help someone while they are in their darkest hour makes all the effort worth it. Academically my grades are slightly above average due to the crazy year last year and finally learning that learning isn't passive and that like in sports you must actively set a goal and work hard everyday to achieve it. Because I learned this lesson so late my grades were affected, however I believe that this lesson will help me to achieve my academic goals along with my athletic goals at whatever college I find to be the best fit for me.
