Hello, I am Nasir Banks,
I started running track in the 8th grade but I did not take it seriously until my sophomore year of high school, that is when I realized you can participate at a college level. Once I started competing with the intention of wanting to run in college, I quit all other sports to solely focus on this sport. I first started out with the races of the 100m and the 200m but then I found a race that I enjoyed, the 400m and 800m. While running these races I had a tendency to push my other teammates as well as myself, each time we ran we had each other setting a New Pr. I have only run the 800m my senior year of high school, running about 5 or 6 races cutting my time from 2:03 to 1:54 in a matter of weeks pushing myself and working hard to improve my team and myself. While being a military child I have been moving constantly my whole which has given me the ability to adapt to my surroundings, being able to help each team I have run/played for, and wanting to be the ultimate team player. If I am able to score points in that event, I will do it for my team.
