"Broke Patriot High School’s 4x100 and 4x200 relay records (41.73 & 1:30.29). My goal is to run track in college."
I am an ambitious student who strives to excel in all aspects of my life. The plans for my future include majoring in computer science/computer engineering/cyber security/information technology at a prestigious college/university, as well as being recognized as a top student-athlete. As a sprinter/jumper and track and field athlete, I am noted for my determination, competitive nature, and self-driven characteristics. I do not settle for status quo as if I believe I can improve, I am laser-focused to do as such. I consider myself to be extremely coachable and will perform anything asked of me in practice and/or in class. I am knowledgeable in the rules of the sport and train no less than fifteen hours a week, all while keeping up with my studies. In addition to participating in track and field, I have played football, basketball, and soccer for many years. I began running track at the age of six and have always believed sports in general to serve many positive purposes. I believe this positivity is found in the chance to work together with other students from varied backgrounds. I enjoy getting to know each member of a team and watching this team come together by sharing a common goal of excellence. I assist coaches and athletes in the Prince William Special Olympics Program; work directly with athletes to improve skills in Special Olympics sports including flag football, basketball and track and field. I have competed on an AAU and USATF track and field level for many years and qualified and had appearances to the AAU Track & Field Junior Olympics. Contributed to the Boys Virginia 6A 2022-2023 Outdoor Track & Field State Championships in the following events: 400m dash, 4x100 and 4x400. At present, have a 3.7 GPA and am enrolled in the gifted program. Both on and off the field, my leadership skills are readily apparent. I am excited for what my future holds as an acknowledged scholar-athlete, at a college/university I am proud to call home.
