ActivitiesMadison Mentoring Program: I was a mentor junior year and selected for Lead Mentor my senior year. M & M Mentoring is a group of upper classmen that are given a small group of freshmen to mentor and help with their transition from middle school to high school. We meet every two weeks with a planned activity and to answer any questions the freshman may have and provide support and tips throughout the school year - Mission Work: Since moving to Virginia in the fourth grade, every summer, I have gone on mission trips to impoverished communities in Southern Virginia, Tennessee, Dominican Republic, and this year I am headed to Chile. In these communities I help make homes warmer, dryer and safer, or work at title one schools to clean/refurbish and help understaffed faculty with strenuous tasks and help underprivileged children and their families - James Madison Choir/Madrigals: I sing bass in the James Madison High School choir. My first year I was part of The Men’s Basso choir. In my sophomore year I was selected to be part of the Madrigals, which is the elite choir of mixed voices. Aside from our high school concerts, the Madrigals sing at many community events throughout the year including caroling during the holiday season.
