I was first introduced to track and field when I was two years old. My mother is an AAU coach and I used to go to practice with her. I started running track when I was seven years old. After my first meet I decided I wanted to follow in my parents footsteps and run in college. My collegiate goals are to obtain a full scholarship, and attend a school with a great track team and engineering program. I want to be part of a track program that has a high graduation rate.
My goal is to run in the Olympics one day. I aspire to win many conference and national titles. What makes me different from other recruits is that I want to win on the track and in the classroom. I am a hard worker, fast learner and a great teammate. I skipped a grade and along the way I had to mature fast. I am able to adapt to different environments and enjoy a challenge. A win to me is not only winning titles but achieving personal records and goals. As a honor student, I understand the importance of being a student athlete. I am able to balance my education with my training and enjoy school. A fun fact about me is I was a 13 years old Freshman the majority of the school year and was on the honor roll all year.
