Porter McMichael '16 Recruiting Profile

I have committed to Western Washington University. My name is Porter McMichael. I am a passionate runner.  While I am very content putting in miles by myself, I also have a passion for competing.  In order to be able to compete at a high level and see how fast I can get, I plan to compete in the 800 and 1600 in college, as well as XC.  I am very hard working and a supportive, positive teammate.  Diverse describes my running ability from 50sec in the 400 to 16min in 5k. I am looking for a track and XC program that is a close knit group of dedicated runners with a great coach.  In the class room I am attentive and have good grades and high test scores.  My hobbies include Knife making, triathlons, and backpacking.
