Although I have been playing sports throughout my life (mostly soccer), I decided to try Track & Field for the first time during my senior year of high school. At my first high school track and field meet, I was the high score for my team in Pole Vault (10'6") and second on my team for the Long Jump (16'7"). I improved on both of my PRs during my first invitational meet two days later (11' and 19'9.25" respectively) and improved again on Pole Vault PR (11'6") during the next high school meet the following week. I am also practicing on 100 and 4x100 relay teams to help develop my speed and explosiveness.
I have an outgoing personality & love being part of a team that supports each other to do our best!
While I'm new to the sport and have a lot of learning and development ahead of me, I am really loving it! After some encouragement from my parents, I thought I would see what kind of opportunities I could find at the collegiate level. My coaches have been very pleased with my abilities, and I am excited to see how high and far I can go beyond high school.
