Matthew Perrone '18 Recruiting Profile

My goals are too one day teach history at my current highschool while coaching along side my current mens volleyball coach. Although my aspiration is to coach one day, I believe playing at a college that suits me well will better prepare me for life ahead of me. I also believe playing on a close knit team will be a great life experience while doing what I love to do. I do not necessarily have the background in clubs like many of the other candidates for recruitment because I had never really had the opportunity financially to join one. I do not believe this slows me down, it only makes me strive to work harder during the high school season to make a name for myself. I also spend a lot of time during the off-season practicing with and managing the girls team while also getting a good amount of beach volleyball in when the weather allows it. It is this quality that I believe makes me stand out from other recruits. I am eager and look forward to speaking to any coach that may be interested in me for joining their men’s volleyball team.
