My name is Darius Dorsey-Rhule and I have been playing volleyball for four years. By playing multiple sports since I was five years old, I’ve learned that winning is not always a part of the game, but it’s how you treat the next one that matters.
When I first seen the sport of volleyball at a competitive level, I had thought of it as a game of “giants”. Watching “towers and iron walls” dominate the net have given me nothing but motivation. I had the determination to always jump higher and reach farther because I wanted the ability to compete along the net no matter my physique. Even thought some are gifted with height, I was gifted with heart.
After gaining experience I know that I have a lot more to work on to become a better player, and I am eager to gain knowledge and improve my skills.
