R. S. "Gage" Giller IV '18 Recruiting Profile

I want to play volleyball at the next level, because I enjoy every aspect of training and competing with my volleyball teams.  I train on my off days to prepare myself for practice.  I look forward to practice and arrive early.  On the days we run, I lead the pack.  I'm a hustler.  At appropriate times during and following practice and games, you'll find me talking to my coach to get information that will benefit my team and my play.  I have great teammates and working together on and off the court is important to building a stronger team.  The relationships that we've created are invaluable;  the bond my teammates and I have developed are visible on the court and it strengthens our alliance while competing.  I have been on many teams and learn with every experience.  As a freshman and a sophomore, I lettered in volleyball and soccer while also playing club soccer.  Physically, I grew significantly that sophomore year causing me to consider my potential in volleyball, at that point I committed myself full-time to volleyball.  I value volleyball and what it brings to my life.  I'm able to use my athleticism in every position to benefit my team.  Working hard and striving to be successful is character building; it encourages me to push myself to become a better teammate.
