Throughout my high school career, I have played three different positions in volleyball. I have played Outside/Right Side hitter, Setter, and Libero. During my time as a Libero, I helped guide my team by making sure the first ball was where the setter wanted the ball to be. As a setter, I made sure I connected with my team by asking my hitters where they liked the ball and which type of sets and tempo they liked. I have been a captain for almost every sports team I have played on. I won MVP for my Junior year of Volleyball and MVP for Basketball as well. I push myself to be the best version I can be to help the team, and I push them to be the best they can be. I am a good candidate for the team because I work well with others and I am always looking for improvement. I have been playing volleyball since I was little and, due to where I live, I never got the same chances as others, but I trained on my own and with older people to learn different abilities. I have won awards in every sport I have played and many awards to do with team spirit and teamwork in general. I want to help the team succeed. I am not concerned about what position I am placed in or if I am a starter or not. I believe I can get along and make sure I have a good presence on and off the court with the team. Outside of sports, I have always been a student who was not afraid to speak in front of the class and share my opinion. I have great leadership skills and I work well with others no matter the circumstances. I grew up and still live in a town with only one thousand people which made my opportunities slim so I had to provide them for myself which made me more mature and prepared to take charge in any situation. I am very positive even when everything around me is negative and I believe I can help carry that mindset to college-level volleyball and help my teammates continue to push no matter the situation. I am aiming for Athlete Of The Year so I am participating in every sport my school offers such as Cross Country Runner, Cross Country Skiing, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, and Track and Field. One thing I always keep in mind is that I am a Student-Athlete, Student comes first in my life so that I can have the privilege to play sports. I have been in love with Volleyball since I was just a kid, my mother played it throughout her life and I always had much more interest in it than any other sport. It connects me more to myself and I feel like I belong when playing Volleyball. I have wanted to take my Volleyball skills to another level and have struggled to do so because I have not had anyone in my area to help me learn and grow. I will be the missing piece of what the team needs no matter what position I am put in.
