My Goal first and foremost is to obtain my degree in International Business. However, I also have a passion that burns brightly in athletics, most importantly volleyball. I've always had a strong, determined attitude, and sports are no exceptions. I encourage my team to be the best that they can, and when they are struggling, I take it upon myself to help them get to where they need to be. I can be very hard on myself, and this I feel has helped me develop into the hardworking, and committed person that I am today. If i were to be accepted into a post-secondary volleyball team, I can promise that I could fit into any environment, as I pride myself as a leader who is also capable of learning from past leaders, before assuming my role. In terms of character, I am a very easy going person, and can get along with anyone. I don't often feel threatened by competition, I actually enjoy it because to me it is a learning experience either way, win or lose. When faced with adversity, or against a team that may seem stronger than mine, I feel that it is important to control your side of the court to the best of your ability. From past experience, this is often the defining factor in volleyball. Many players get concerned with what is on the other side of the net, when that doesn't matter, what matters is your heart and how you play as a team on your side of the net. This attitude I feel correlates into my academics as well, because while it is important to compete to the best of your ability, it is also important to perform to the best of your ability in academics. I believe that a good student athlete can manage both academics and athletics, and those that can do this are the best of the best, which is what I ultimately aim to be.
