Tripp McGuire #15...I'm interested in Architecture and have a knack for it. I attend the Landstown Governor's STEM & Technology Academy and am in the Engineering Stem. I've earned certifications in: AutoCAD, REVIT, and OSHA. These are certifications that make me employable now, as a 17 year old. But I want more than a job, I want a career. What that exactly looks like, I'm not quite sure yet and that’s okay. My collegiate goals and aspirations for college who be to help me mold my talents and interests into a career that I love.
I'm not just a good candidate; I'm a great candidate for your team. Why? First, because I'm a team player. I make decisions on and off the court that I feel will benefit the TEAM the most. Second, I have a strong work ethic. My club coach is always telling me, "Man, I wish I had a team full of Tripps." Third, while I'm pretty successful at any sport I try, I'm not boastful about it. And I feel that what makes me different than other recruits would my natural athleticism, my attitude, and my support and care for my teammates. I'm the guy they can talk to, vent to, confide in and they know that what they say stays with me. People say that I'm the quiet leader, leading by example. I like that.
Academically, I'm a sound student. I started out as an identified gifted student who transitioned into the International Baccalaureate Middle Years program and finally into the Governor's STEM & Technology Academy. I wouldn't be a source of concern for you, my coach, as a student-athlete representing your university.
