Charles (Charlie) Wang '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal when playing water polo is to bring my team-first mentality, my positive attitude and my strategic mind to any team I play with. I believe in making plays and creating fluidity in offense by moving the ball and driving. My primary strengths are to be a reliable teammate in the water, earn exclusions and steals, and to assess the field and create strategies to create goal scoring opportunities. I am a very strategic and quick thinker and it is a uniqueness and strength that I bring to a team.

My personal interests and collegiate goals are to pursue mathematics, science and/or engineering (STEM) and ultimately to understand the planet, universe, and climate change at a deeper level. Right now, I am interested in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, physics and mathematics. I look forward to learning in college to explore more about my passions. I am a hard-working student who has consistently challenged myself in all aspects of my academics and enjoy being in classes that are stimulating and difficult!
