My name is Adria I’m 17 years old and I’m very passionate about water polo that is the sport that i’ve been playing since I have 7 years old in Club Natació Sant Andreu in Spain, I’ve always been a competitive person and much more in sports, but about two or three years ago I noticed that water polo was the sport of my life when I started to train really hard every day and being on the top 5 goalies in Catalunya, since that day I’ve always been training so hard, also I’ve been playing against really good players that have made me be a better goalie.
I like to play it cause I think that I’m good at it and it distresses me when I have a bad day or I’m in a bad moment cause I just focus on the training and I don’t think about something else, another thing that pushes me to play water polo is to play for college in D1 and if it’s possible in a good team.
In real life water polo has taught me that if you work hard and you’re consistent, you can achieve every single objective that you have in mind. Another important thing is that maybe you can be in a place where they’re not that good than in the place that you were, but anyways you have to keep working hard or train harder than them to get better and keep your level like it was. One more thing from water polo that I can reflect on in real life is that sometimes your group can be sad for something bad that just happened but you have to be there to motivate them and make sure that they stay with their heads up.
