Since I began playing water polo in seventh grade, I’ve not only learned about the sport, I have also learned about myself. When I discovered water polo, I also discovered my passion, my dedication, and my capacity for constant improvement. Water polo has taught me the value of hard work and the importance of personal connections. My team has become like a family to me. When I'm with my team, I'm not just a goalie. I'm someone who strives to create relationships grounded in trustworthiness and accountability. For these reasons, I'm eager to continue building these same types of relationships with a collegiate level water polo team.
I have shown my dedication to academics by achieving high grades, consistently making high honor roll, and earning USA Water Polo's Academic All-American. I am considering majoring in Health Sciences, and I was recently accepted to the Medical Careers Honor program at York High School where I will get hands on experience that will help clarify my future choices. I strive to maintain the highest possible standards as a student athlete. Learning during a pandemic has been challenging, but I feel I have managed to thrive in this new environment. Overall, I will continue to progress both in the classroom and in the pool with the hopes of joining the ranks of a collegiate water polo team.
