Growing up as the oldest of four siblings on a farm in rural Alberta, has given me a unique perspective on life. Simply put, there are things that you just have to do. Across all the sports I play, the most important skill actually cannot be taught. Want the ball. Without fear or hesitation, I want the ball. I am not a theatrical individual, easily swayed by the momentum of a game. You would receive the same feedback from my basketball coaches as my volleyball coaches as my teachers. Intangibles are my best quality. I have never been the tallest, or the fastest, or the best, but I am the hardest working. It pains me slightly to say these things, because I am also not boastful. I am searching for a program where I am inspired to work hard, where hard work is respected and rewarded, and where qualities of integrity and respect are a priority. I am also looking for the opportunity to focus my time and energy on one sport and perfect my skills. Lastly, I am looking for a community of athletes who share my perspective and want the ball as much as I do.
