I'm Eden Gosselin, currently in grade 10. I started playing ball when I was 8 years old and liked it well before then. I started playing in the small town of Wainwright, Alberta from 2008-2011. From there I went on to play for the Irma Tigers years 2012 through 2014. I suffered from an ankle injury right before the 2015 season and had to take a year off. After I broke my ankle I realized that softball was really what I wanted to do. I packed up and moved to the city of Calgary, Alberta and tried out for Kaizen 00, the team I am currently captain of and have been practicing with since the end of August, 2015. Our season has just begun and I'm excited to say that we're going to have a good year.
The way I describe myself as an athlete is a leader and someone who takes the time to try new things and recognize when something isn't working. I'm extremely competitive and do not quit until the game is over. I tend to play quite aggressively am a real talker on the field. I enjoy calling plays and making sure that everyone is involved and on the same page.
Outside of ball I like to think that I am a pretty funny person. I love arts (singing, drawing, painting, sculpting, etc.) and doing my own thing as well as being around groups of friends. Growing up around a lot of men gave me the tomboy attitude I have today and I'm a very proud farm girl and can never talk enough about my home town.
