As a student athlete I feel that my parents have helped me the most to help me get to where I am today, as well as the support and encouragement from my past and present teammates throughout the years of my softball career. I love the communication and encouragement needed to play the game of softball, this aspect really got me intrigued into the game and has pushed me to want to continue to improve my athletic ability. I’ve learned through playing softball that I have a continuous growing passion for the game. Throughout the years I feel that I have developed as a player, and also learned leadership skills that I am proud of. I’ve learned that not everything in life will always go your way, and that you need to learn how to deal with those situations. I believe that softball has taught me how to be cooperative, supportive, respectful and above all a good teammate. Losing the provincial title in a national tie breaker was an obstacle that I had to get past in my softball career. As an individual I have grown personally from this experience. It taught me that I am strong enough to undergo pressure in my life, and that you can always learn something from bad situations. I plan to graduate from high school and apply to a college where I fit athletically and can push myself academically to get a degree in biomedical engineering. My academics are very important to me and I'm looking for a school that would be the right fit.
