Growing up in Edmonton, Alberta, softball isn’t a huge sport here, and the season is short. My family had to travel 5 hours (1-3x/month) one year, so I could participate in indoor training during the winter months, from coaches that help with Team Canada (222’s Keith Macintosh). My current organization now has an indoor training facility, so we no longer travel unless it’s to a tournament.
I started playing tee-ball when I was 4 years old and moved to a competitive organization at the age of 7. My love of the game has grown through the years, and I dedicate myself 100% at every strength and conditioning workout, chalk talk, practice, and game.
I help run hitting clinics for the younger athletes in our organization, and when I’m not busy with softball, I enjoy playing volleyball (was a starting player on our high school junior team), working out, and socializing with friends and family, all while maintaining a 3.7-4.0 GPA.
My main goal is to get a degree in Psychology, while continuing my softball career at the collegiate level. I’m not scared of hard work and am dedicated to the goals I set forth.
