Taya Chouinard '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Taya Maree Chouinard. My passion is softball, it is whats makes me who I am! It teaches me daily to be strong mentally and physically. To push myself harder than I ever thought was even possible. Going to college just in itself is a huge goal for me as neither one of parents were able to continue their education but to be able to play the sport I love would just make it that much more sweeter. I would love to be the first in my family to graduate college!! To see my parents at that moment is truly my goal. Being a self driven individual definitely sets me apart from others but I think what sets me apart most is the ability to adapt to my surroundings quickly while still being true to who I am. Academically I will be honest I have to work hard at that but I work hard at it! I never give up and always try my best. My character is.... tough, strong, loyal, a little hard headed, lovable, but most of all coachable. At the end of the day I play hard and give everything I have to softball because softball is who I am.
