My name is Elin Burger, and I am a 2026 right-handed-pitcher and outfielder. I fell in love with the sport in my first year of tee ball and I would beg my parents to sign me up for it every year since I was five. I remember knowing I wanted to play in college at seven years old when I saw LSU playing on TV and learned that it is possible to be a college softball player. I am passionate, hard-working, and determined when it comes to both school and softball. Everyday I put 100% of my effort into what I do and always strive to be as close to perfection as possible. As a pitcher, I tend to thrive in pressure situations and high-stakes games. Though I typically do not blow batters away with velocity, my ability to locate my pitches and spin the ball very well are what make me successful. Playing this sport, I have learned that failure is crucial for improvement, confidence is key, and elevating and supporting teammates is essential for success. My goal is to pursue a major of business, architecture, criminal justice, management, or environmental science while also playing softball for a school I love.
