Brooklyn Morrison '20 Recruiting Profile

    I am a "go big or go home" type player/person who always gives 110% through acts of leadership, dedication and sportsmanship. I am very diligent in utilizing my high softball IQ in all aspects of my game. Even though I do focus my training in the shortstop and catching positions, I love to be known as a very accomplished utility player and thus will play wherever needed. I believe that it is essential to be versed in all areas of the field in order to be fully effective as a player.

    Family is very big to me, both on and off the field. I want to be part of a team/program that focuses on reflection and commitment, and that provides opportunity for enjoyment of both teammates and the game. I thrive in leadership opportunities as well as direct, focused instructional environments.

    My goal is to obtain a softball scholarship to play at the highest level possible while studying to reach my career aspirations of being a nurse. I have worked very hard throughout my academic career to maintain my GPA of 3.93, although I strive to always improve.

    Being able to be on the field allows me to "walk the walk" instead of simply "talk the talk".
