My name is Madyson Philbrook. I graduate in 2024 and am a middle infielder. I grew up in the small town of Quesnel BC and now I attend the Yale Secondary Softball Academy in Abbotsford BC as a billet student to work towards my dream of being a college softball player.
Over the years my teams have done well at most tournaments we went to, but I feel like I grew the most in the times we didn’t do our best because it helps me learn and grow not just as a softball player but as a person. It helps me to learn how to deal with failure, work through tough times, and make adjustments even when things aren’t going your way. These growing experiences just help me get closer to my dream. Even though winning always feels great, there is something to learn when you lose.
I was fortunate enough to have played for teams where we learnt about success and failure. I learned the value of teamwork and strong leadership through adversity. I also learned a lot about winning with grace and setting high standards for myself and my team. I’m looking for a school that would be a great fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the skill, but the work ethic, dedication, and leadership skills to be a great asset to your team!
