I have been playing softball for 12 years and I have stayed with it because I enjoy the commitment and competition that comes with it. I play for Fraser Valley Fusion 2008 as the starting centre fielder. I demonstrate leadership on and off the field by communicating and staying positive for myself and for my teammates. I changed to a left handed batter 5 years ago when I joined the team, and learnt to slap and drag bunt which expanded my ability as a player. I have tried many different coaching styles and continue to seek more information to better my performance and become the best player I can be. I have earned the opportunity to be our teams lead-off batter where I take the responsibility of starting the team off strong with our at bats. I see myself as a very determined player where I set goals and plans to achieve them. My team says that I am a very resilient and reliable teammate and that they have trust in me on the field with them. In both 2022 and 2023, I received a Top Outfielder All-Star award at the Canadian Nationals. My team won the BC Provincials and won the title of National Champions last season in 2023. I was rewarded with an invitation to the Junior Canadian National Team tryouts that took place in February 2024. I have done volunteer work helping young softball players in all areas of growth. My other interests include my family, friends, hiking, weight training and being by the water.
