Sangeeta Vaidya '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach! My name is Sangeeta Vaidya, I am graduating with the class of 2024. I live in Sunnyvale CA. I've been playing softball since I was 7. My fondest memory of the sport was winning six consecutive tournaments with my awesome club team! A moment that grew me the most as a player was when I didn't make varsity as a freshman. This pushed me to work harder on my skills to better myself as a player. My hard work paid off when I was invited to play on varsity towards the end of my freshman season. From then on, I continued to put in the work needed and ended up making varsity my sophomore year and continued on to become a captain my junior year as well as my senior year. Throughout my years playing at school, I was fortunate enough to play with many different types of athletes. I learned the value of commitment, hard work, and leadership with their mentorship. I was able to carry these lessons on to my club team. I not only utilize my leadership skills in the field but also in the classroom. I'm a club officer for the sports medicine club and the nursing home volunteering club, as well as an intern with my school's athletic trainer. I am looking for a school that matches my academic and athletic abilities. I believe I not only have the talent but also the hard work, dedication, perseverance, and leadership to make an impact on your team. As an athlete who's dedicated the majority of her life towards softball, I know that I have the dedication and perseverance to be a vital asset to your team!
