Personal Statement

I'm an extremely motivated player who knows that success comes from hard work. I focus on the little things and put in a lot of time outside of practice so that I play well in game situations.  I get a lot of compliments from coaches who like my athleticism, who say that I'm a gamer and who think that I have a great softball IQ.

I work to develop my softball abilities every day.  Sometimes its conditioning, other days its speed and agility and other days it's to build more strength.  I take at least 200 swings every day outside of my normal practices.  I have been working to create more power in my swing with my leg drive and my load.  Defensively, I have been working a lot on my footwork, drop step, angles and quick release.

I'm looking for a softball program with coaches who have a passion for the game of softball as much as I do.  Coaches who will help me and challenge me to reach my full potential as a player.  I want an opportunity to compete at a very high level and I'm not afraid to do whatever it takes to achieve my dream.  My goal is to play for a really competitive NCAA Division 1 softball program and I'm willing to play anywhere in the country.
