My name is Dayanara Hernandez-Garduno, and I am a Junior student athlete at Entrepreneur High School in Fontana. I’ve played Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. From playing these three sports it had taught me to be a dedicated, team player, leader, and it had also taught me to become a well disciplined player. I'm hoping to fulfill my goal of playing softball at the next level while majoring in Radiology or Nursing.
I have played softball for the past three years, and during my freshman year of high school, my love for the game has grown. During my sophomore year I started to get interested in pitching for my high school team which makes it my first ever year I pitched. So far I am in my third year of high school and experience in playing softball. I have played both rec ball for winter and spring, and for my high school. I’ve grown a lot and developed more skills through the help of my coaches and teammates that were willing to grow with me. I also practice 6 days and during the week to always strive to be the greatest version of myself that I know I can become both on and off the field. I'll make sure to balance my academic and athletic obligations because I know that competing at the collegiate level comes with a lot of hurdles and time commitment.
