Lauryn Selvaraj '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lauryn Selvaraj, and I am from Palo Alto, California. I started playing softball when I was seven years old. Playing softball over the years I have learned valuable life lessons both on and off the field like hard-working, perseverance to overcome difficulties, maturity to handle emotions, and persistence to improve and get better. I am also grateful for the friends and coaches who made a significant impact on my life through the years of playing softball. I have played multiple positions through the years but I always enjoyed the challenge of pitching at every opportunity. When I was given an opportunity to coach a team of young girls who want to play softball I was very delighted to teach and share what I learned from many coaches and give back to my community. My goal is to pursue a strong education in a well-acclaimed college and continue playing softball, the game that I love.
