My name is Alexis Watson, I am in the Class of 2020 at Rocklin High School, I plan to major in forensic science or criminology. The purpose of this statement for me, is to express my desire and passion to pursue softball at the next level. Softball has already offered me so many incredible opportunities and has connected me with coaches and players to whom I look up to as role models. My ultimate goal is to play softball at the collegiate level. I am not overly concerned of the division level or the location, I am willing to travel or stay near to my home in Rocklin, CA. I just want to be on the field with a team who has the same goals that I do; to enjoy getting stronger each day, and ultimately to make it to the top. I am willing to put whatever it takes into becoming the strongest player that I can be. I fully understand that academics are the most essential element of college and are what will carry me after softball so I put heavy focus into my grades, I also however believe that being part of a team creates life long bonds, teamwork, and teaches you lessons you cannot always learn in the classroom. Alongside softball, I am a competitive soccer player, as well as dancer, and I do weightlifting to support myself in all that I do. Combining my sports has made me ten fold the athlete I would have been without it, because I believe that the only way to get better at something is by learning to balance something so challenging and while pushing yourself to the limit, both physically and mentally, as well as in the classroom.
