Elaina Esteban '21 Recruiting Profile

Starting from a young age, I already knew I didn’t want my softball career to simply end at high school. After originally blooming from watching my older cousin play, my love for the game was able to develop from a drive to compete with other girls to an obsession with the feel of the ball and glove in my hand. However, my love to compete and for the game doesn’t stop on the field. It’s seen very clearly in simple things like my family’s game nights and “friendly” wiffle ball games out in my neighborhood’s cul-de-sac. Through witnessing my cousin’s journey of signing and playing in college, my hopes of doing the same were confirmed. After learning that I could use my love for the game to continue my education, that became all I wanted to work towards.
