Evie Unger '17 Recruiting Profile

I am very passionate about playing softball. I have been on community teams since the fourth grade and it gives me a feeling of self confidence since it is something I feel I am good at. When I was younger I struggled academically due to having ADD and Dyslexia. With the help of some great teachers and dedicated tutors I have overcome these challenges and I am competing academically with all my classmates. Because of my ADD I need to be constantly stimulated which is why I like the position of Pitcher on the softball team. I like being in the action on every play, it's the best feeling when I field a bunt and get the out at first , or when I strike another girl out. I have been a part of some great community teams and I really like the whole High School team I am on, but I would like to get more practice with a college team or someone who can really help me with my pitching. I Have a pitching coach that I see on Sundays and my dad also catches for me for practice. I'm excited about the     opportunity to be on a College Softball team where I would get the chance to travel to other colleges and have  some great experiences. I am a Junior now and team Captain, I have been the Varsity Pitcher since Freshman Year. I am interested in Astronomy, and I am an Artists , but I'm not sure yet exactly what I want to become.
