Sara Pustinger '21 Recruiting Profile

I began playing softball at 9 years old and instantly fell in love with the sport.  I have continued to play, excel and work hard on and off the field to play at a more competitive level the older I become.  At this time, my goal is to play at the collegiate level at a school that best suits me.  I strive to be a positive leader on and off the diamond. To always make a positive impact on people around me anyway I can. In my experiences, I am looking for the positive, keeping an open mindset, growing and challenging myself to be the best version of myself I can be at all times.  My teammates are extremely important to me.  I have respect for them and how far they have brought me as a player.  One of my mantras is to always want to play the hardest for them and support them. I even apply this mantra to my everyday life, with friends, family, and school.  I once read, "You practice how you play." All of my life, I have heard this from coach to parent and that statement has truly sat with me, pushed me to continue my career and always explore new possibilities in life!
