Sierra Ruvalcaba '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, thank you for taking the time to view my profile.  My name is Sierra Ruvalcaba, I am 20 years old and I’m a Sophomore in College at Glendale Community College.  I am a 2020 graduate from High School, but due to COVID restrictions, I did not play during the 2020-21 season.  

I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old, and can honestly say that playing softball is my passion.  I am currently playing for Glendale Community College in Glendale, California.  My primary position is pitcher and my alternate position is 1st base, but I can also play the outfield.  I started pitching for a rec-ball team when I was 8, but it wasn’t until I was 10 that my father realized that I had the desire and the potential of being a good pitcher, and decided to take me to a pitching coach. 

I have two goals that I really want to attain in life; the first is to go to a college and play softball which I am already doing, but I would like to have the opportunity to also play in my Junior and Senior years at a University.  The second goal is to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology or Phycology so that I can assist young kids that are abused and neglected.
