My name is Gianella. I come from a family of 2 with me being the older sibling to a sister. From a very young age I have always been involved in extra curricular activities. I began with cheerleading and dance. I discovered softball at the the age of 12. In that moment I realized I had a new love/passion in life. I tried out for my school (middle school) team and did not make it. I had no softball background whatsoever. By the time 7th grade came around. I tried out again. this time making the team. I was invited to a local rec league where I played for about 2 years. All my coaches motivated me to continue working hard. I practiced daily with a travel team I was not officially on and on my own at home. After attending a couple tryouts for several seasons I finally made it into a travel team. I continued to give it my all and with my coaches help I acquired a talent. I have been a starter for my high school since freshman year. I also have the highest batting average on our fall season so far. I am a proud hard worker, always willing to learn new things specially to improve skills. I am currently coaching 10U in the same rec league I began this journey. I want to motivate young girls and help them better themselves as athletes and teammates. I love this game and will be a part of it in all ways possible! <3
