Alicia Demott '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alicia Demott, and I am writing to introduce myself and express my enthusiasm for the possibility of joining your college softball team. As I embark on the next chapter of my athletic journey, I am eager to explore opportunities that align with my passion for softball and my commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Allow me to share a bit about my background and achievements in the sport:

I have been playing softball for 8 years, starting at a young age and developing my skills through dedicated training and competitive play. Whether in the infield, or at bat, I thrive on the energy and camaraderie of the game.

Throughout my softball journey, I have had the privilege of achieving several milestones and accolades, including MVP on multiple occasions both offense and defense. A freshman varsity starting left fielder (starting my freshman and sophomore year). My sophomore year I received the Varsity coaches award. Freshman year for offense I had a .315 batting average with a .413 OBP and a .783 OPS. My freshman defense stats were a .960 for the FPCT.  My sophomore year consisted of a .892 FPCT. My Junior year has now come to an end. As I started the season as the varsity starting left fielder I was called upon by my team to play shortstop. I did what I needed for my team and we pushed through to Regionals. I ended the season with a .274 batting average, a .348 OBP and a .638 OPS. My FPTC for the season was .868. I was also recently named honorable mention in our GC8 All Conference and made the 2025 All-Chronicle Softball team as a utility. These experiences have not only fueled my passion for the sport but have also instilled in me a strong work ethic and a drive to continually improve.

As a team player, I understand the importance of leadership both on and off the field. Whether it's rallying my teammates during a tense inning or serving as a positive role model in the community, I strive to lead by example and inspire those around me to give their best effort.

 I believe that my skills, beliefs, determination, and team-oriented mindset would be a valuable addition to your roster.
