Marissa Thomson '19 Recruiting Profile

Every since I could walk, I have been an athlete. Sports have always been a big part in my life and for the last few years, I have been putting all my attention to softball. Softball started off as just a Little League sport, but now it is a passion and something I love doing and want to continue to do in college. What I am looking for in a college is a school that pushes me to my greatest ability, on and off the field. Somewhere that cares about me as a student and an athlete. Personally, I strive to get good grades while playing softball. I have made it my goal to manage my time so I can maintain a good GPA and play for travel and school softball. After college, I plan on getting a doctorate, so education and studies is a big part in what I'm looking for. Another factor that I'm looking for is faith. Faith has always been at my school and I want to carry it with me not just through college, but through life. I understand not every school has this, but at least a part of it in the atmosphere. The last thing I'm really looking forward to in college, is just a great experience. So many people say their college experience is some of their favorite memories in life and I can't wait to make memories like those.
