Hello my name is Hannah McFarland, I started playing softball before I could remember. At a young age I would always hear story’s about my two aunts and my mom playing softball for my current travel ball coach. I would always hear great things about what they accomplished, and I knew from that moment I wanted to play softball. I fell in love with the game and the certain feelings you get when your up to bat or when you catch a diving pop fly, there’s no other feeling like it in the world. Softball was also a way to get my mind off the real world at a young age, when I was in the third grade I had my tonsils taken out and right after that I started stuttering. I could barely go through one sentence without stuttering two to three times; my softball team and being on the field was the only place I didn’t feel judged. But I’m thankful to say my family was with me every step of the way and helped me to get better in controlling my speech. It has always been a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level since watching college softball on TV. I live in a small town and that’s the type of college environment I would love to attend, I'm looking for a softball team that is not just team mates but a family.
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without God guiding me down the path he wants me to go down, and my family and friends for pushing me every step of the way.
