Meghan Pope '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Meghan Pope, I am a left handed pitcher, first baseman and outfielder. I started playing softball when I was five years old. As soon as I picked up the ball I fell in love. I have played softball for as long as I can remember, my family has always been behind me on the decisions I have made with softball and the career I want to have with it after high school. I cant remember a single tournament that my mom wasn't at supporting me in the stands. I work very hard each and everyday to get better and better. I love the sport all around and play with good sportsmanship. I was taught at a young age that you can do anything as long as you are strong and play with all your power between the six inches in your head. Sometimes you have to take a step back and realize its not all physical, it's mental too. I love to work hard and play the game physically and mentally. Softball isn't just a hobby, its a way of life and I hope I get the chance to play the game I love in college.
