Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Neriah Lee and I am a student athlete at Parkview High School. I play softball and run track but softball is my first love.
I excel academically also. I take honors and AP classes that are very challenging and that will prepare me to go to a college or university. My goal is to maintain an A average throughout high school. I am currently ranked in the top ten percent of my class.
I have played softball since I was three years old. I have had so many memories of softball that have really driven me to continue playing today. But one memory gave me the idea that I was going to play in college. When I was about seven years old and playing recreation ball, I remember hitting an inside the park home run. Once I hit home plate that day, I knew softball was the right thing for me and I was going to love it forever.
My goals for softball are not only playing on the field and hitting, but I want to use softball to help me become a mature lady and to help me reach my purpose in life. Softball teaches me to never give up and to always keep going since this is a game full of challenges. It helps me to overcome trials that seem impossible and keeps me focused.
My goal is to use my skills, effort, and determination to win and to help my team succeed on the softball field. I also want to increase my knowledge of the game. I want to be in a program that welcomes me and treats me as family throughout my college career.
