I guarantee that most girls will talk about how their grades are superb, how they are a leader, and an amazing softball player. Realistically not every player can be the perfect player and I most certainly am not. I have had ups and downs and have worked very hard to be the player I am today. I’m the type of person, who, when my teammate is upset, I’m always there to make them smile. Even if it is one of my cheesy jokes from 9th grade biology class, it always seems to make them laugh. Even when my teammate makes an easy mistake and I want to scream, I will always be there for them. I am the type of person/player if I get knocked down over a bad day I will walk in the next day even more determined to succeed. Softball is a sport I fell in love with not only because of the competitiveness, but the lessons and people I’ve learned and met over my years of playing. School to me is everything. Ever since I was a little girl living in New Jersey my mom and dad always told me to maintain my grades because they know how successful I can be in the classroom. I have such high expectations for myself that a grade that my parents are satisfied with I will get mad at myself for it. I’ve always tried to push myself as both a student and athlete and I’ll be completely honest, it’s really hard handling my classes and softball, but to my surprise, it always ends up working out in the end. I will continue to fight the long, stressful nights of worrying over AP US history, AP Language, and don’t even get me started on Physics, but as my mother says, “you are a tough cookie”, both on the field and with school. I have no definite answer on what I would like to major or minor in. The one thing I do know is that I would like to attend a liberal arts school. One thing I do know for sure is I want to attend a school where I am able to accomplish my goals as a student, athlete, and a person.
