Harleigh Slagle '27 Recruiting Profile

Since my first introduction to softball at the age of eight, I fell in love and found a passion that has yet to be quenched. Softball brought a challenge to compete, a drive to achieve, and be the best I can be. It is equally important to share the knowledge and skills I learn with others. My goal is to play on a competitive softball team so that I can contribute to their success. I have always taken pride in doing my best in school which has carried over to softball. My new-found drive has enhanced my leadership skills and style, plus my desire to be the best role model for my friends and family, especially my sisters. My strong work ethic, discipline, mental and physical aptitude along with a positive attitude and a sense of humor is something that allows me to encourage others on and off the field. I feel it is important to stay humble and be open to learning from others; I believe in life that everyone has something to offer and you need to be willing to listen and be open to change. For every failure, there is a learning experience and growth opportunity. Compassion, integrity, inspiration, and empathy are attributes that I strive to live by and demonstrate daily.
