Alexis Brown '26 Recruiting Profile

Playing softball is truly my passion. Since beginning t-ball at four years old, I knew that this was something I wanted to continue doing for the rest of my life. Playing softball in college would be an amazing opportunity that would allow for my years of hard work, dedication, and desire to develop on a new level as a teammate, athlete, and person. 

As a catcher, I have strong leadership skills both on and off the field. I have a natural instinct and understanding of the sport and can see and foresee what is happening in all aspects of the game. Though catching is my favorite, this has allowed me to be valuable to my teams in various positions on the field. I have additional strong experience at third base, short stop, and outfield, and have played every position on the field.  My desire to learn and my goal to be a well rounded and coachable athlete are always at the forefront of everything I do.

I strive to strengthen my athletic ability and leadership skills all year, participating in Stingrays Travel Softball, Barrington High School Softball, Barrrington High School Volleyball, and Pipeline Club Volleyball. I also have an interest in strengthening and the science of movement, kinesiology, and biomechanics. My mother is a gymnastics coach and I enjoy working with her on learning proper stretching and conditioning techniques in addition to helping her when I can with her instructional opportunities. I volunteer frequently at the gym to work with young children and the Special Olympics programs. I enjoy instructing young kids, helping with my younger sister's softball team, and I spend every other moment I can with my infant brother. 

I am open to all options and educational opportunities for college and hope to find an organization that will push me to be a better player, challenge me to grow academically, and encourage me to develop as a teammate, leader, and role model. My biggest goal is to be someone that my baby brother can look up to.
