Ryleigh Keith '15 Recruiting Profile

I have just finished my Junior year at Brimfield High School. I started every Varsity game in right field as a Freshman and was the starting catcher in every Varsity game as a Sophomore and a Junior. This year, 2014, for the first time in our school's history, my team made it out of Regional play. We didn't stop there though, our little team made it all the way to Super Sectionals where we just barely fell short to the soon-to-be State Champion team. This season was one of the most fun and enjoyable seasons I have ever been a part of. By the end of the season, I feel that I improved so much and learned a lot more about myself as a softball player.

Athletics have been a large part of my life. Since I was young I have participated in many sports. I believe this has helped develop the athlete that I am today. Over the years, multiple coaches have remarked that I am easy to coach, I am a good listener, and I am quick to learn. I have been considered a leader who is well-liked among my teammates and coaches. As an athlete, I am strong, fast, smart, and agile. Even though I am playing both basketball and softball year-round, I have rarely had any injuries. Doing things right and with the correct technique is something that I've always tried to pay attention to so that I am at the least possible risk of injury. I am a reliable and dependable teammate and have been told that I come through in clutch situations. I am a very competitive athlete but I manage to maintain a level head and good attitude. In what little off-time that I have, I enjoy keeping my body in shape. I love being active and/or trying to make my body stronger.

As a student, I am not a procrastinator and I work very hard to achieve exceptional grades. I take school seriously and I have a strong work ethic. I am a visual learner who learns best by taking notes on what is being taught. Despite my natural academic ability, a lot of time is put in to studying and keeping up with my grades in an effort to balance academics and the three sports I participate in. Being at the top of my class is an important accomplishment to me and I have put a lot of long hours in to reaching this goal.
