Personal Statement

I am a 5’8” catcher and outfielder. I play for the Pro-Player Canes 17u travel team and I am a Junior at Cary Grove high school (Cary, Il). I was the starting varsity catcher, center fielder, and 1st baseman for my high school during my freshman, sophomore, and Junior year. For my travel team I primarily catch but also play left and center field. I hit 3rd or 4th in the lineup for both teams. I pride myself on being a student of the game and I train year round for softball.

What is most important to me is working hard. I find myself to be very goal-oriented and ask my coaches to challenge me. They know I want to be the best person and player that I can be.

When I go to college, I would want the school to have a good academic program. Growing up, academics have always come first.

Lastly, I want to play softball in college because it is my passion. I love the competitiveness, the thrill of the game, and getting to play for a team.

Thank you!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
